Forum : Dollar Rise Affecting the Value of Naira

Let's ask this question.
Should dollar rise affect The value of Nigerian Naira value to the extent that it affects even the cost of goods locally made within the country whose raw materials are locally gotten here at home and has nothing to do with foreign exchange or importation?

Take for instance;

* How could it affect the cost of sachet water we make locally here?
* How could it affect even the cost of an ordinary egg that any chicken lay even at our backyards?
* Worst part is the food sold in our various Restaurants and the cost of pepper, onions, and meet in the market.

I may not know everything, well who knows but if are reading this blog, I will like you to comment to enlighten us, particularly myself because obviously I don't know what is going on.

Africa's Richest Man DANGOTE appeared casual to a Polo club.  Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Africa's Richest man appeared at the finale of the Majekodunmi Cup, 2016 NPA Lagos International Polo Tournament, dressed in coffee casual outfit. This happened on Sunday 21st February when the Africa's billionaire came as one of the VIP invitees  who graced the Lagos Polo club in Ikoyi. Dangote may not be a polo player but he sure has interests in the ‘Game of Kings’ as he has a number of close relatives who are polo patrons and players: the likes of Tajudeen Dantata, Sani Dangote, Sadiq Dantata, Abba Bashir Dantata, and Bashir Bashir Dantata. The Adamu Atta-owned Fifth Chukker polo team won the prestigious Majekodunmi Cup following a 15-7 victory over Lagos Ironclad/Trojan. Nigerian showbiz industry IS ABLAZE with the hot beef between the star Singer Wizkid and the popular Blogger Linda ikeji.  The grudge dated back to when Linda published a report late last year about how Wizkid was paid N8m by the management of American Univerisity in Yola Adamawa to perform but the singer did not show up after collecting themoney. Reno Omokri dedicated an orphanage in Benin city The orphanage was commissioned by Professor Pat Utomi Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and Utomi announced that they would adopt two children and pay for their education The orphanage was dedicated in Benin city, Edo state on Sunday, February 21st by Reno Omokri, a pastor and former special assistant on new media to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan. The orphanage, the Helen and Bemigho Sanctuary for Orphans, was built in honour of his late mother who who died 12 years ago on March 17th, 2004. Vanguard reports that the orphanage was dedicated by Arch Bishop John Praise Daniel and commissioned by Professor Pat Utomi.
